At the POP Movement, we define Initiatives as those that are country-based, as they are more geographically representative. All POP Initiatives are supported by the POP Movement in the form of seed grants and mentorship. On the other hand, Projects are those conceived and led by youth leaders independently. These projects have been showcased at the POP Movement, and some of them receive mentorship and support.
It is important to note that there may be multiple POP Projects, but there is just one POP Initiative per country

Their goal is to generate, in community, a change towards a more just and environmentally responsible society to achieve a sustainable future. Their activities range from implementing educational projects to environmental regeneration and promoting reconnection with nature and society. They work towards making information on sustainability issues accessible and creating spaces for exchange of ideas. Some of the activities they currently (as of Dec 2020) develop include webinars, podcasts, talks, dissemination of projects, reforestation drives, support for rural communities, and so on. Furthermore, this project raises awareness about the importance of youth action on environmental issues.

The main objective of this project is to install a specialized center to train active eco-citizenship of populations surrounding fragile ecosystems, in adapting to climate change and SDGs.The project consists of launching a pilot theme park that will serve as a modelof ecological life in the community, emulating the functioning of an urban ecosystemin harmony with its surroundings. The 1-hectare park, which will be installed in an area bordering the city and a natural reserve, will have 6 basic modules: ecological habitat for residents and visitors, ecology laboratory,meteorological station, a clean energy station, a recycling center and agenetic reproduction for the restoration of the natural environment. Other accessory modules include beekeeping museum and bird observatory, auditorium, restaurant, ecological store, multiple uses office, cultural and exhibition areas. They will be integrated through bioclimatic architecture, environmentally friendly materials and tropical landscaping.The Park will operate with an automated system for monitoring the flow of materialand energy, with an objective of making it eco-efficient and regulating emissions and capturingof CO2. Some of the perceived impacts include providing ecological products and services to the local and floating population, training 100 eco-entrepreneurs annually in local green businesses, promoting school and scientific ecotourism in more than 4000 participants per year, and so on.
