Climate change is an environmental, social and economic crisis and this project works toward emphasizing the importance of personal action and the role it plays in the climate crisis, in order to help people visualize themselves as part of the solution instead of the problem. The Color Book is an initiative that aims to facilitate the reduction of the personal environmental footprint by suggesting immediate actions at different impact levels and creating connections between people, organizations, and sustainable enterprises. The project focuses on researching and generating ideas on how technologies like Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) can help to create climate resilience, prevention of pandemics, lift people out of poverty, and sustain their prosperity when confronted with global pandemics or climate change disruptions, and to eventually implement AI-based systems at a larger scale, for global impact, by collaborating with more people and organizations. The vision  of this project is to turn it into a social movement where people can empower and educate themselves and others about the way technologies can help climate advocacy. It seeks to create a global platform where knowledge and help are always available from experts that welcome the exploration of any new idea. The acquired knowledge and changed culture from international teamwork will be passed to future generations for a long-term positive impact. This project also has the potential to drastically reduce the divide that exists between nature-loving climate activists and technology-loving problem solvers, while they work together towards the same goal of saving humanity from the worst ever crisis we are facing on Earth.

SoC aims to raise funds and awareness for marine life and their environments, focusing on dugongs, turtles, plastic pollution and climate change. The team has run fundraisers within Australia and speaks at events and schools regularly. The founder, Stephanie Evans, has also attended dugong health checks, turtle releases, attended and been a squad lead for the Ocean Heroes Bootcamp in Vancouver, been an Ocean Youth Ambassador for Sealife Sidney Aquarium, spoken at local council meetings, and so on. This initiative looks to educate thousands of youth in Sydney so that they have a greater moral authority within their communities; fundraise for research to generate a greater understanding of environmental issues; mentor hundreds of youth-driven projects globally.

This initiative seeks to meet and collaborate with the governments of the world to ban Styrofoam(Polystyrene), single-use plasticand Glyphosate in their respective countries, by either visiting them individually or through the UN or meeting at Davos. The goal of this initiative is to ban all styrofoamand eliminate the hazardous chemical Styrene to prevent air, water and soil pollution; ban the hazardous glyphosate from public areas and protect the public health, especially of children; stop the manufacturing and use of single-use plastics prevent them from hitting the landfill.

This project seeks to research and build an understanding about the use and disposal of bio medical waste including gloves, masks and PPE kits during the pandemic. To influence change, this initiative will explore policies that can be put in place to address the crisis.

The “International Student Festival in Bursa” (ISFiB) is the world’s largest international student festival. It is a non-profit organization run by more than 450 student volunteers with a vision to create a better future for young people in the world. The festival is organized every other year with a theme related to social and political topics of international relevance. It will work towards exploring and discovering various aspects of Unity for Justice and how it affects lives. This will be achieved through dialogue, listening, and debate organized through many activities. It is an opportunity for youth across cultures to come together to share and obtain perspectives on a range of issues including climate action.

Nigeria’s energy system is dominated by traditional biomass and fossil fuels. There is a huge need to study long-term low carbon development strategies. One approach includes the TIMES (integrated MARKAL – EFOM System) models which encompass all the steps from primary resources through the chain of processes that transform, transport, distribute and convert energy into the supply of energy services demanded by energy consumers

The project aims at creating awareness about eco-friendly plastic and its benefits. The primary objective is to increase use of High-Density Polyethylene (HDPE) since it is the most environmentally stable of all plastics, giving off no harmful fumes into the environment besides the many other advantages that it comes with. Though better than other plastics, HDPEs cannot be composted and have high thermal expansion. So, it is important that more awareness is raised regarding plastics and its many different types.

This project will share the impact of the pandemic (both positive and negative) on the ocean. It seeks to generate and promote environmental education through the dissemination of the impacts of the pandemic on the ocean and knowledge about the loss of biodiversity and natural habitats.
