April 22, 2020 will mark 50 years since Earth Day was founded. The Protect our Planet (POP) Movement, also founded on Earth Day in 2016, seeks to mobilize action by millions of youth across the world to ensure that carbon dioxide emissions and all forms of waste decline rapidly as part of YOUTH CAN (Climate Action Now). We seek youth crusaders TODAY to mobilize youth in their educational institutions, communities, regions and countries for a massive build-up before April 22, 2020 and beyond.

In light of the COVID-19 situation, in the near future, applications for virtual activities are invited for the 2020 Earth Day. Ideas include online events, social media campaigns, online photo exhibitions, online posters, green lifestyles under quarantine, and discussion groups. Once the COVID-19 situation is under control and official advisories are issued, you can submit other offline activities such as press conferences, plastic free day, declarations by mayors and local leaders, meat-free days, marathons, marches, concerts, street performances, clean-up drives, seminars, conferences, and more! You can also submit your project for the POP Star competition which we will announce later.
