Tree Planting at Nkhulande Primary School
November 14, 2022
Activity No 12
Levy Nyirenda and the team on November 14, 2022, at Nkhulande Primary School in Zambia, conducted another activity that focused on raising awareness and building the capacity of over 56 school students. Although the original plan was to plant the trees in the field, due to rainy weather conditions, they were planted in the school premises instead.
The main objectives of the activity were to demonstrate tree plantation to the students, create awareness about the importance of trees, and educate the students on how to take care of the plants. This initiative aimed to instill a sense of environmental responsibility and encourage the students to become actively involved in conservation efforts.
The activity was organized in partnership with several organizations, including the Needs for Orphans Foundation, United People Global, UN MGCY (United Nations Major Group for Children and Youth), and the Ministry of Education in Zambia. The team members involved in the activity were Levy Nyirenda, Violet Lungu, Lauren Kangwa, Ngosa Mando Mukpo, and Bornwell Lungu.
By conducting this tree-planting activity, Levy Nyirenda and the team made a positive contribution to environmental conservation and provided valuable knowledge and skills to the school students.
