On October 21, 2021, POP Youth Mentor and Ambassador for Africa, Samuel C. Okorie met with the Deputy Director of Forestry in Osun State, Nigeria and then the state’s Commissioner for Environment & Sanitation. He was approved over 200 tree seedlings for the green garden project in Salvation Army Grammar School, Osogobo.

Following this, in late November, a small landscape within the school campus was identified, restored, and planted with the active engagement of over 150 students. The school administration and the student community have been entrusted with the responsibility to regularly tend to the growth of the seedlings. More trees are envisioned to be planted in the same campus next year.
