In collaboration with the Faiths Fraternal for Development NGO, the pot-filling activity was carried out across the three project sites – Mataka, Masinde, and Limera. The primary aim of this initiative was to bring together participants from the villages to collectively engage in soil mixing and pot filling, laying the groundwork for the sowing of tree seeds. A total of 15,000 pots were filled across the three project sites, namely Limera, Masinde, and Mataka, with active involvement from 120 village participants.

Among the participants were representatives from the government, youth, and smallholder village farmers, including 83 female farmers. This activity not only fostered social harmony and unity in pursuit of a shared climate goal but also advanced climate literacy and education on nature conservation. It served as a tangible demonstration of the community’s commitment to the cause of nature conservation.

The significant turnout of villagers underscored the pressing need for climate action within the community.
