Activity No. 17:On January 20, 2023, Levy Nyirenda, Gift Mwanza, Bwanali Zimba, Lauren Kangwa, Bornwell Lungu, Grace Mkandawire, and Mapalo Banda organized a tree plantation activity at Munali Girls Secondary School with the goal of raising awareness and building the capacities of young female students. The event saw the participation of 75 girls from grades 10 and 8. The main objective was to empower and encourage girls to take a leading role in environmental initiatives, emphasizing that restoration efforts should not be limited by gender. As part of the activity, five trees were planted within the school premises, with both girls and teachers actively involved in the process. The session was themed “Courage Beyond Gender” to inspire girls to step up and take charge, rather than solely relying on males.
