Activity 18:On January 20, 2023, Levy Nyirenda, Gift Mwanza, Bwanali Zimba, Lauren Kangwa, Bornwell Lungu, Mapalo Banda, and Grace Mkandawire organized a tree-planting event at Chakunkula Combined School. The primary focus of the session was to foster capacity building, raise awareness, and promote partnership development. Under the theme “Raising a Generation of Change,” the objective was to inform and demonstrate positive transformation to the learners, instilling the belief that change for the better is possible. The event witnessed the enthusiastic participation of 81 students and teachers. As a result of this collaboration, POP Zambia was able to establish a climate club at the school. POP Zambia Initiative took charge of this group and committed to providing ongoing support. Additionally, there are plans to return to the school in the future to conduct further training sessions.
