Sayan Das, a civil engineer turned climate innovator, is redefining how India tackles textile waste. His journey began with internships at IIT Hyderabad and IIIT Allahabad. Inspired by the Protect Our Planet (POP) Movement in 2020, he committed to sustainability and soon realized post-consumer textile waste was being overlooked. Today, he is the Co-Founder of Refurbric Innovations Pvt. Ltd. in Nashik.

Recognized among the Top 8 Climate Innovators in Asia-Pacific by UNEP-CTCN and Seedstars under the Youth Climate Innovation Programme, and awarded a grant in 2025, and recipient of the John “Mac” McQuown Award for Youth-led Climate Technology and Innovation 2025, he mentors youth and advances India’s circular economy.
