Ms. Shailly Kedia is a concerned global citizen and a passionate researcher who firmly believes that knowledge has an important role in nudging governments, businesses, youth and other actors to steer the world along the principles of inter and intra-generational equity. Trained in international organization, finance, business administration and engineering, she is keen to understand the role of multilateral and global governance processes on different issues that continue to challenge peace and prosperity in the world.

Shailly is presently a Fellow at The Energy and Resources Institute, New Delhi where she has led interdisciplinary policy research projects and capacity building activities on sustainable development supported by agencies such as the United Nations Development Programme, United Nations Environment Programme, Asian Development Bank, Global Green Growth Institute, Ministry of External Affairs, Ministry of Environment Forest and Climate Change, and various foundations and bilateral agencies. Her research interests include topics of international organization, degrowth, green economy, non-traditional security, environment policy, climate policy, development policy, sustainable consumption and production, finance, and role of various actors in global governance processes. She is currently also pursuing doctoral studies from the School of International Studies at Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi. In past, she has also worked as a Consultant with the Sustainable Development Network of the World Bank in Washington, DC; and as a researcher with the Center for Climate Systems Research at Columbia University and NASA Goddard Institute for Space Studies in New York.

As a POP Mentor Motivator, Shailly works in an advisory role for conceptualizing and guiding activities for the POP Movement by bringing in her knowledge on sustainable development goals and climate policy. Shailly has been a competitive swimmer and triathlete. In her leisure time, she dabbles with photography, painting and film-making. Shailly lives in New Delhi with her canine family of three – Muffin, Polo and Roff Junior.
