Michael del Rosario Herrera García

Michael del Rosario Herrera García was born in the city of Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico on 27 June 1999. She has been a dedicated student, currently pursuing a Bachelor´s Degree in Pharmaceutical Chemistry and Biology at the University of Guadalajara.
Since Michael was little, she has liked growing plants. She is interested in the innovation and use of agricultural products that are environmentally friendly, in addition to growing food at home and preserving water.
She has presented a research project on capsaicin from chili peppers in the Special Edition of International Forum for Science and Engineering Students (IFSES) 2019 on Sustainability, at the University Center for Exact Sciences and Engineering (CUCEI) in the University of Guadalajara. With the POP Movement CUCEI team, she has helped organize the Quarantine ECO-Projects festival, to present environmental projects for young students from the University of Guadalajara.
She believes that with the knowledge obtained from within and outside of school, together with the great opportunity to meet and learn from people from all over the world, she will be able to do her bit and help others, while taking responsibility to protect our planet Earth and take care of it, since it is our only home.
