Solid waste is a problem worldwide, generating great environmental pollution and damage to natural resources. So it seeks to implement recyclers and a second use in waste. They are waste from materials used in the manufacture, transformation or use of consumer goods. The generation of solid waste is a problem that requires multidisciplinary solutions. That is why a better use of this waste is required, to achieve adequate treatment and various uses.

The Climate Test Project, aims to challenge climate change from the daily culture of the human being of any socioeconomic stratum, which with the application of it, will find content that offer creative and effective solutions to the main environmental challenge that we face in this century, but which will also obtain a great contribution from climate data (Bigdata), trying to analyze the problem from a unique perspective, highlighting the need for change in our behavior that appeals to the responsibility we have with the planet on which we live, by being an active part of the change, as we have already been the main cause of the problem.

Ocean’s Voice is an International Action Network housed in the United Nations Constituent Youth Group (YOUNGO), decided to raise voices to make the problems of the ocean visible and contribute to their solutions by creating new models of thought, collaboration, communication and action from an international youth community.

This interactive course seeks to engage the audience on environmental ethics and circular philosophy, with a focus on finding meaning and answers in one’s own individual life and actions and not just focusing on the big issues that sometimes feel so overwhelming or far out of reach. Circular philosophy is a new paradigm, a new way of thinking that combines zero waste, regenerative sustainability and environmental ethics and more. It seeks to bring consciousness regarding the environmental situation and create eco warriors who transform their care for the planet into everyday actions and into a way of living.

The presentation talked about the impact of COVID-19 on various walks of our lives, with focus on understanding why the situation is so alarming. The main objective of the project was to acknowledge the role of greenhouse emissions and the rise in the use of medical waste and single-use plastics. The pandemic has helped reduce the greenhouse emissions by a significant amount. But on the other hand it has led to a drastic increase in medical-waste and single use plastic generation.

This initiative seeks to meet and collaborate with the governments of the world to ban Styrofoam (Polystyrene), single-use plastic and Glyphosate in their respective countries, by either visiting them individually or through the UN or meeting at Davos. The goal of this initiative is to ban all styrofoam and eliminate the hazardous chemical Styrene to prevent air, water and soil pollution; ban the hazardous glyphosate from public areas and protect the public health, especially of children; stop the manufacturing and use of singleuse plastics prevent them from hitting the landfill.

The importance of recognizing the SDGs and holding roundtables and workshops to prepare future generations is fundamental. The project is aimed at making known the impact of main points such as: bees; responsible for pollination, their environment for development and energies. In a dialogue table dynamics we will present the negative impact and an alternative to offer energy and well-being in the environment. As well as applying the compost workshop.

Melina gives talks on environmental education to indigenous children in the care and conservation of the sea turtle. Her objective is to have an environmental education center to train people in her community on the care and preservation of the sea turtle and inform about the consequences of consuming turtle eggs. She believes in protecting and defending our natural environment to have a better quality of life in communities and explores strategies to be able to have a sustainable diet from our natural resources. In her talk, she also exchanges ideas on how we can defend our rights that have been violated by capitalism, devastating our natural environment.

Cambio colectivo is an organization in Mexico City that seeks to promote environmental awareness through dialogue and collective actions. Their goal is to generate, in community, a change towards a more just and environmentally responsible society to achieve a sustainable future. Their activities range from implementing educational projects to environmental regeneration and promoting reconnection with nature and society. They work towards making information on sustainability issues accessible and creating spaces for exchange of ideas. Some of the activities they currently (as of Dec 2020) develop include webinars, podcasts, talks, dissemination of projects, reforestation drives, support for rural communities, and so on.
