The aim of this project is to strategically use social media to ensure sustainability in environmental initiatives, to mobilize volunteers, environmental advocates, and organizations, to network for better visibility and easier access to funding for environmental initiatives, and to promote traceability. The impact of this innovative way of coordinating climate action and amplifying voices is far reaching. This could be a model for coordinating action on ground for developing countries.

Greener is Cleaner is an ongoing project, as we take action as an organization. Founded in 2018, and conducting various campaigns and projects ever since, our plans for 2021 include the “Green Light Project” of innovating eco-friendly light bulbs and sharing them with our neighbors in South Sudan, holding webinars on sustainable development and climate change, writing and announcing a declaration at the P4G Youth Voice Forum, and giving presentations about youth activism in the face of climate change to young leaders. By the end of 2021, we look forward to better integrity and structure in our organization and more international impact.

The Carbon Footprint Reduction (CFR) Project is a completely youth-led initiative, which aims to understand and encourage climate science.  The team is working on a state-of-the-art environmental impact assessment methodology.  They also intend to build an appreciation for nature via their game show, which will be released soon. With regard to climate action, they are working on a model house, which will enable people to make better choices in order to reduce their climate impact.

Tragedy to Strategy is an advocacy movement started in our school. We looked at ways through which we could reduce energy consumption by using innovative methods. Some of these methods include upcycling, using alternate search engines, and installing solar panels. We place special emphasis on team effort, especially for big goals such as this, because together everything is achievable.

The Blue Warriors Club aims to educate one’s friends and peers about the plastic crisis. The philosophy of the club is based around education and awareness building followed by inspired personal and collective action. The pilot versions of the Blue Warriors Club were organized by Youth Ambassadors of the ERVIS foundation in their schools, Fountainhead School, Surat and Indus International School Pune, during the first half of 2021. Both the student groups are now working on both group and collective actions to protect our planet.

Replacing plastic bags and reducing their usage is a long-term goal. While individuals across the globe continue to find ways for humans to move away from plastic, there is a lot of plastic that is discarded into the ocean every day. This plastic is mistaken by animals for food even though it is extremely toxic for them. Consumption of plastic causes them to starve to death. S-PAS is a project that aims to find a temporarily better solution to plastic. It is based on the concept of stimuli because every living animal responds to stimuli in a certain way or the other. The idea is to modify plastic so that animals (sharks are being sampled for the pilot project) perceive plastic as dangerous for them and over time learn to avoid it.

Our innovative prototype idea is of a robust AI controlled garbage collection machine, which is designed to clean up waste and transport it to a safer place. It is named “The Integrity” and is fully autonomous. It works using light detection and ranging sensor technology. It scans an area in real time using 3-D mapping technology, picks up waste, and transports it inside the machine using a vibrating conveyor belt. This helps to remove excess sand from the waste. The waste then collects inside a large container following which separation and segregation take place. The waste is then compacted and stored as cubes. The residual waste is taken and degraded with bacteria or stored for separate disposal. The mechatronic vibro sand sifter is powered by a powerful DC motor, and its working depth can be controlled by a transmitter. It also has GPS (Global Positioning System).

Seas of Change raises funds and awareness for conservation efforts for dugongs, sea turtles, climate change, and plastic pollution. Seas of Change also runs school talks, fundraisers, and events within the Sydney community focusing on educating and empowering youth to take a stand for their environment, thus realising the power of their voice and aspirations.

This project aims to inform the community about the importance of recycling and environmental care. Recycling household waste reduces the amount of garbage and waste that end up in water sources, on the ground, and in other unsuitable places. Through recycling, the effects of pollution can be considerably reduced, and the environment can be preserved. If we can perform the activity of recycling, we will get many noticeable benefits in our environment. The importance of recycling for the environment is that it is a way to fight climate change and its negative effects on life on the planet, and on our development.
