Ibrahi Rodriguez,
EarthX |
My name is Ibrahi Rodriguez, I'm a 20 years old Marine Biology student, from the Galapagos Islands. Growing up surrounded by the ocean became my inspiration to start thinking of how I could help preserve it. Since I was 15, I started to assist research projects through environmental education programs aimed primarily for the non-scientific community's involvement in the archipelago's conservation; that's how I started to grow professionally into the sea turtles world. I've been part of several tagging and nesting sites monitoring programs in Ecuador, Costa Rica and Mexico. Nowadays, I'm part of the Health Assessments in Sea Turtles from B.C.S. team, a scientific research group tasked on developing hematic-pathologic, genetic lineages and geographic distribution studies on individuals of the Eastern Pacific Green Sea Turtle that reside on the Baja California Peninsula, in Mexico. | |

Patrícia Chamrazov, Slovakia | I am an intermedia artist always flying and switching between analogue and digital mediums. I come from Bratislava and I am currently based in Vienna. On track to finish my Master’s in Intermedia at Academy of Fine Arts and Design in Bratislava and simultaneously studying Transmedia Art at University of Applied Arts Vienna.
In my latest works I am playing a lot with virtual realities where the perceptions of our “self” is expanding far beyond our physical space. My aim is to point out to a space balancing on the edge between the physical and virtual. I feel like I am metaphorically connecting the latest technologies and the art world while leaving the imperfections and traces of the software that automatically appear during the process as qualities worth to preserve. I am always deconstructing, destroying and reshaping the reality in constant search for some errors and mistakes in system. I am celebrating ambiguous beauty of chaos while reinventing the reason and the risk to be a human being. |
