In order to increase youth leadership and explore tactics that empower the youth to take action and tackle the most pressing environmental issues faced globally, the POP Movement will conduct a series of conversations on leadership strategies, recommendations, reflections, and examples entitled POP Climate Leadership Conversations. This initiative is designed and implemented as a tribute to our Chief Mentor, Late Dr. R.K. Pachauri.
The POP Climate Leadership Conversations launched in early 2021. A series of 60-minute one-on-one conversations will be held virtually between the POP Movement and experts, youth leaders, dignitaries, researchers, and activists. The main objective of the program is to define practical strategies and key activities, recommendations, and tactics that empower the youth and allow them to collaborate with decision makers, enhancing youth climate leadership. Additionally, each conversation will have specific emphasis based on the arena of expertise the leader in conversation brings to the table. This initiative aims to further the understanding of leadership and practical strategies that youth can adopt to promote leadership in the sphere of climate action.
