In the Memory of Late Dr. John Mac McQuown

Lt. Dr. Mac McQuown was a financial services entrepreneur, environmentalist, amateur astronomer, and a producer of fine wine. He was also a Partner, Co-Founder, and Director at DCI, LLC. Previously, Mac was a Co-Founder and Chairman of Moody’s KMV Company, Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer at Diversified Corporate Loans, and Co-Founder and Director of Dimensional Fund Advisors. He was a firm believer in action by individuals to harness renewable energy resources and protect the environment, a philosophy that he followed in his own innovative actions.

The John “Mac” McQuown Award aims to identify and support innovative and technology projects that are already being implemented and have the potential for expansion and replication.

This award honors the team for their project that captures innovation and shares knowledge about emerging technologies and trends, hones its design and experimentation tool by applying robust research methodology, and engages new stakeholders by building partnerships and co-opting unique actors to implement innovative solutions.
