Professor Jorge Nunez Alba from UNAM, México, leads a team that develops a monthly leadership workshop with freshman students of Chemistry from the University of México, where the POP pioneering team exists. On December 21, 2019, he held the Youth Leadership Workshop with the Class of 2019, where professors engaged with the students to share valuable experiences and ideas on building their capacity to be positive leaders in their field and also to enhance their personal and academic goals. The session ended with the team mutually benefitting from studying and discussing a book, that Professor Jorge had specially selected.

Being as old as ten years, this workshop program continuously evolves bringing in diverse approaches with new dynamics every year. The special dynamics that was introduced this year was an Indian poetry reading that was displayed at FIL 2019 in Guadalajara. One could choose to look at this program as that which aims to enable the youth to rightfully choose between conventional materialistic life and a life that is conscious of values and responsibility to society.
