The Annual General Meeting (AGM) was held at the University of Development Studies (UDS) Guest House in Accra on Tuesday, 26th November, and Wednesday, 27th November 2024, with approximately 85 participants in attendance. The meeting aimed to review progress by sharing reports on activities, assessing achievements in 2024, and strengthening the platform through discussions on enhancing operations and effectiveness. Additionally, it sought to develop an action plan for 2025 and analyze political parties’ manifestos regarding youth inclusion and environmental sustainability in preparation for Ghana’s 2024 general election. Key outcomes included the development of policy recommendations by the Technical Working Group in four thematic areas—mining, climate change, energy transition, and agriculture—to guide political party manifestos. A representative from the Movement for Change reaffirmed their commitment to youth and environmental priorities if elected, while expert panel discussions offered insights on mining, local governance, energy transition, and agriculture policies. Members also addressed operational challenges and proposed solutions to integrate into plans for 2025.
