𝗖𝗢𝗡𝗡𝗘𝗖𝗧: 𝗖𝗟𝗜𝗠𝗔𝗧𝗘 𝗖𝗛𝗔𝗡𝗚𝗘 𝗔𝗪𝗔𝗥𝗘𝗡𝗘𝗦𝗦 𝗪𝗢𝗥𝗞𝗦𝗛𝗢𝗣

On December 22, 2023, POP Mentors Drishya Pathak, Manish Gupta, and Remigus Fernades organized a workshop at DPS-Greater Faridabad on Climate Change and Role of Policymakers with a group of 120 students.

As part of a commitment by DPS-Greater Faridabad to create a greener and more sustainable future, a comprehensive workshop centered around climate awareness and action was organized for the students of class VIII. Ms. Kavita Saxena and Ms. Geetika Mehta were the teacher mentors of this workshop which was whole-heartedly supported by our Principal Dr. Bindu Sharma, who has a passion for implementing such projects effectively. The session was also attended by Ms. Sanjana Mahajan, Senior Headmistress.

The workshop was conducted by a distinguished panel of experts from the “Protect Our Planet”(POP) Movement. Ms. Drishya Pathak, a Public Health Specialist and Environmentalist, Mr. Manish Gupta, a prominent POP Youth Mentor and Community Leader and Mr. Remigius Fernandes, who has a comprehensive experience of over 34 years that includes heading the Project Monitoring Unit of The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI) as Assistant General Manager.

This workshop was aimed to educate and inspire students to understand the urgency of addressing climate change and to equip them with practical strategies to make positive environmental changes in their communities and beyond. The students were delighted to be a part of this enlightening session.
