The Unfiltered Show by Barminder Kaur

May 17, 2025

All of us have dark nights. Listless as we feel and never ending as these nights are, what if you turned them into … a historic real-life miracle ?

Say you’re in the boots of someone who is suffering from a severe spinal cord injury but you’ve decided to defeat your injury by climbing Europe’s largest ice cap. The temperatures drop below 25 degrees and the sibilant whispers of self-doubt come creeping in as you along with two of your best mates (who happen to be less able than you are) surge forward. But forget all else, you’re determined to do it within eleven days. And boom! History is created but it’s not a fantasy. It’s the reality that Dr Niall McCann experienced during his tryst to climb Vatnajökull and Host Barminder Kaur breaks it down to the core with him on their conversation amid an episode of the podcast ‘The Unfiltered Show’ by Barminder K.

Dr Niall McCann, a renowned wildlife biologist and conservationist is best known for his adventurous wildlife documentaries, major conservation projects, and amazing speaking skills. He’s also the co-founder of The National Park Rescue, an organization dedicated to protecting Africa’s endangered wildlife. A man of unparalleled will and valour!

Our host and The POP Movement’s Global Youth Envoy, teenager Barminder Kaur, a full time Student, Young Environment Optimist, Speaker & Climate Action Enthusiast goes over the thrill of this adventure revolving around Dr Niall’s latest movie release ‘ALPHA’. Having won many accolades and being an author and a writer, the teen’s sense of curiosity works perfectly with Dr Niall’s vast practical knowledge.
