Beverly Purroy Vásquez, leader of the POP Movement in Venezuela’s Amazon region launched the Green Citizenship Action Plan together with the students of Secondary Education of the U.E. Colegio Ciencia y Tecnología Orinoco, from Puerto Ayacucho, Amazonas.

Twelve students led a workshop with seventy students on the importance of action and setting an example. The workshop served to:

• Amplify the environmental strategies from the 3Rs to the 13Rs
• Create awareness about waste degradation
• Promote action on self-management of garbage and elaborate on ideas like #ecoladrillos

This workshop was organized in close collaboration with Adriana González, Aliz González, the director of the campus, and teachers Lixy Angola, Mariannys Araca, Yelitza Useche, Gindry Infante, and Raiza Viera.
