On July 9, 2020, during a virtual ceremony, the POP Movement signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the National Maritime Foundation (NMF). Representing the institution of NMF, the event was graced with the honorable presence of Admiral Sunil Lanba, PVSM, AVSM, IN (Retd), Chairman NMF and former Chief of the Naval Staff, Director-General, Vice Admiral Pradeep Chauhan, AVSM & Bar, VSM, IN (Retd), Executive Director, Captain Sarabjeet S Parmar, IN, and its Deputy Director, Cdr Anand Kumar, IN, including other faculty members.

This collaboration between POP and NMF seeks to converge research, advocacy, and youth-led action and innovation towards transitioning society to a Blue Economy model, advancing resilience and mitigation efforts against the impacts of climate change and combating marine pollution. Through the formulation of goals and an action-agenda, the POP Movement is highly optimistic and truly grateful for the journey that the NMF-POP Family is posed to collectively undertake.
