On May 19th, the POP Movement and Picture The Possibilities (PTP) united to share their collaborative efforts in fostering engagement and expression among youth during a Livestream Symposium. The event was gracefully hosted by Taliya Peiris, Miss California Teen USA 2023, and featured presentations of Dr. Ash Pachauri and Halfdan Hussey.

Dr. Pachauri highlighted the POP Movement’s initiatives, particularly the upcoming International Conference and POP Festival for Youth-led Climate Action 2024 in Oaxaca, Mexico, in September. He also shared thoughts on his latest publications, co-authored with Dr. Saroj Pachauri, which are designed to guide individuals in climate action and are available for free on Amazon Kindle: “Simple Steps to Sustainability: A Workbook to Guide Individual Climate Action” and “Small Steps, Big Impact: A Simple Guide to Individual Action and Collective Impact to Tackle Climate Change”

Halfdan Hussey, representing CREATICS ENTERPRISES, MAVERICK STUDIO, and CINEQUEST, spoke on their initiatives which merge innovation with the arts to empower creativity and connect communities. PTP’s initiatives, as part of Cinequest, aim to empower global youth to create their dreams, providing tools, confidence, and inspiration to turn visions into reality. With the open film submissions for Cinequest, the best film festival, according to USA Today Readers, the possibilities are all around the corner!

These initiatives underscore the commitment of both organizations to inspire and equip the next generation to shape a better future through creativity and innovation.
