The POP Movement’s Senior Mentor Dr. Ash Pachauri and Sustainability Ambassador and Mentor Ivan Ransom participated in the XI ECPD Global Youth Forum, “YOUTH POWER FOR THE COMMON FUTURE,” held in Belgrade on October 29, 2023.

The event, organized by the European Center for Peace and Development of the University for Peace established by the United Nations, successfully gathered diverse young minds to brainstorm on creating a sustainable world. Esteemed speakers, including Nobel Laureates and academic leaders, provided invaluable insights, emphasizing cooperation and tolerance.

The forum’s hybrid format facilitated global participation, covering topics from artificial intelligence to equality and economy, highlighting the essential role of youth in system change. The POP Movement contributed with the presentations “Dare to Dream: The Youth of the World Go-POP” and “The POP Festival: A Global Best Practice for Climate Action and Sustainable Development”. These discussions and connections have further strengthened the POP Movement’s commitment to contributing to a sustainable and peaceful world.
