On February 28, the Manica Youth Assembly (MAYA) and POP Zimbabwe, in collaboration with Mutare Adventist Primary School, led an inspiring tree planting initiative focused on empowering future generations through environmental stewardship.

With 70 participants, including students, teachers, and youth volunteers, the event saw 50 Indigenous trees planted—enhancing biodiversity, improving Air quality, and fostering a culture of sustainability. Beyond planting, students gained hands-on experience and knowledge about the role of trees in Climate Action.

Moving forward, plans are underway to establish a sustainability club at the school and expand the initiative to other communities.
