Human Fraternity For Youth-Led Climate Action

The International Conference and POP Festival for Youth-Led Climate Action, organized by the POP (Protect Our Planet) Movement in collaboration with CIIDIR – Oaxaca, Instituto Politécnico Nacional (IPN), and various partners, will be a vibrant platform celebrating youth climate leadership.

The POP Movement has engaged 2.3 million youth across 128 countries, promoting innovative, technology-based solutions and community-driven projects. This festival aims to advocate for youth-led climate action, amplify voices through cross-sectoral collaboration, and showcasing climate initiatives in Latin America and the Caribbean. The vibrant culture of Oaxaca will be present, featuring music, the Guelaguetza, and other celebrations of life and togetherness.

Key themes include biodiversity, climate action, technologies and renewable energies, fraternity, compassion and peace, ancestral wisdom, health and climate. The event will feature diverse activities, workshops, performances, and showcases of indigenous tools and innovative technologies. It will also provide a space for youth to present their projects and initiatives, fostering a dynamic exchange of ideas.

Additionally, the festival will host a student dialogue and a message to the global community, further amplifying the voices of young leaders. Through these efforts, the POP Festival seeks to inspire and mobilize a global movement for a sustainable future.
