On September 17 and 18, Cinema Planeta organized an event “Salas Ambientales” at the Narcizo Mendoza Theatre in Cuautla, Morelos. Hundreds of primary school students attended and watched short films highlighting environmental protection, sustainability, and the importance of caring for both people and nature. The young audience left truly inspired.
The event featured a lively quiz puzzle designed by Eleonora Isunza and the Cinema Planeta team, tailored especially for children. Ivan Ransom, Sustainability Ambassador and Youth Mentor from the POP Movement, also joined to introduce POPPix — POP’s Pocket-sized Planet Mentor.

The children were thrilled to discover POPPix and took part in various interactive activities. They worked together to solve a puzzle, played an educational POPPix video game, and engaged in fun learning experiences.

To conclude, the students were invited to join a creative challenge: to write a story about an environmental issue they care about, whether in their own community or on a global scale. The winning story will be illustrated and transformed into both a chapter of the POPPix book series and a short video, reaching children around the world. The story will also be showcased at a festival in April 2026, where participants will be reunited with new surprises awaiting them.
