Dr. Ash Pachauri participated in a high-level bilateral discussion between IBM and UNESCO IESALC in New York City, where they explored the critical role of AI in education and the workforce. The discussions addressed key questions, including how the private sector and academia can collaborate to create inclusive work environments as AI reshapes the labor market, how professors can effectively integrate AI into their teaching to prepare students for AI-driven careers, and what institutional changes higher education should adopt to embrace AI and support lifelong learning for the evolving workforce. It was an inspiring exchange of ideas aimed at shaping a future where AI enhances learning and creates new opportunities. These discussions resonated with the insights from my book, AI in Education: Empowering Educators, Inspiring Students, reinforcing my belief in AI’s transformative potential in education.
