The POP Family conducted a field visit to Santa Catarina, Monterrey on August 24, 2019 to learn about the local municipality and to gain a better understanding of the city’s environmental concerns that stem from pollution due to garbage and dust-filled air.

This visit was intended to meet twofold objectives — to help the Santa Catarina municipality to prioritize their environmental courses and discover ways to address them, and furthermore, to
support them with environmental legislation. The visit revealed a wide range of observations which will serve as a baseline for further progress with regard to meeting the objectives set out for this initiative.
