Day 3: Empowerment and Ethical Storytelling

October 22, 2025

Day three began with an emotional address from Asma Toorkham, who shared her journey of resilience and leadership in advocating for women’s empowerment and climate justice. Her story inspired renewed commitment to personal courage and social change. In her deeply moving presentation, she reminded everyone of the power of one — demonstrating how courage and resilience can rise above even the most challenging circumstances. Despite facing life-altering obstacles and continued threats for her advocacy, she continues to champion the cause of wellbeing, justice, and women’s empowerment.

Participants also attended technical presentations on water body regeneration, governance, green roofs, marine heatwaves, and technological solutions. Ricardo Delgado Lander presented The Interview as a Tool for Socio-Ecological Transition,” emphasizing ethical communication and combating misinformation through informed dialogue.
