Members of Transformation Home and its state coordinator, Cross River State, Samuel Chijioke Okorie led a call for climate and environmental action on October 1, 2019. A walk was organized to sensitize the public about the need for climate action and environmental action, and guarding the planet at large. Lasting for a duration of about 3 to 4 hours from 8.00 AM to 12.00 noon, the walk covered different areas seeking to spread the message and command influence on how one must help protect the planet. The team believes that there is a long way to go towards achieving this, as it was found through interactions with people that they have little or no idea about what climate action is all about and how one ought to engage with a sense of personal responsibility. The need to spread knowledge and accelerate action was observed.
