The Department of Sociology and Anthropology at the University of Nigeria, Nsukka was the venue for an event organized by Ploggers Nigeria and the University of Nigeria. The focus of the event was a climate education program aimed at undergraduate students. The panelists included Dr. Chiemezie Atama, Mr. Ayodeji Omilabu, Sarah Nwankwo, and Ndu Chimdidu Chisom. The program was successful in raising awareness and understanding of climate change and environmental sustainability, providing a safe space for healthy conversations, and increasing the confidence of the participants to take climate actions. The event impacted on the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 4, 5, 12, and 13. A total of 66 undergraduate students (30 males and 36 females) participated in the program.
