POP Senior Mentor, Dr. Ash Pachauri and POP Youth Mentor and Ambassador Africa, Samuel Chijioke Okorie made a presentation about the POP Movement to the Head of Sustainability and several students at Maharishi International University on February 14, 2023. It was part of a course called “MIU Global Solutions” which was led by Anne, Kaye Jacob, and Dr. Richard Beall. The students have a number of ideas for action to protect the Amazon forests, address environmental pollution caused by the fashion industry, and support sustainable development through various causes. Each group of students will develop its ideas and be mentored by the POP Movement in the build up to what promises to be the biggest youth movement to #ProtectOurPlanet in the USA.

The POP Mentors also spoke to the students on the need to identify and adopt an aspect of sustainability into their lifestyle by simply identifying the crucial necessity to mitigate and adapt to the climate crisis. Students were informed about the POP Mentee/Mentorship program, and they will be on-boarded as mentees to be trained and lead initiatives at the POP Movement.
