As part of the process to educate people about climate change and the application of sustainable environment practices, the POP Nigeria Initiative organized Cleanup Enugu: South East Climate Strike and Green Walk on May 22, 2021.

During the event, the POP members cleaned waste off the major roads and streets in Enugu Metropolis. A total of over 30 bags of waste and 1000 plastic bottles were collected in order to be recycled. The event received media attention and coverage.
