Launch of Resilience 2020 and it’s selection in the Heineken competition
September 13, 2020
LAUNCH HISTORY AND COMPETITIONS
After 6 months of planning, once the circular economy model was integrated into the project, on September 13th, Resilience 2020 was finally launched. We started in a home, part of the Borussia in Mexico family where we installed a biodigester and we initiated constructing the greenhouse.
Meanwhile, we have been participating in: 18th World Summit of Nobel Peace Laureates, UNWTO Sustainable Development Goals Startup Competition 2020, Heineken Green Challenge 2020, and the #Open17Water Challenge.
Regarding the Heineken challenge, we didn’t get through the regional phase, however, we learned a lot, especially from the opportunity areas that will allow us to greatly improve our performance in the following events. We are currently waiting for the deliberation of the remaining competitions.
Building resilience in households, businesses, and among farmers through the implementation of eco-technologies and a circular economy model.
“We are truly convinced that the project has a promising future, for it is a simple and yet powerful idea taken into action. It will provide people with some of their basic needs (water, food, electricity, and gas) and generate savings and extra income. Moreover, its innovative core and replicability contribute to its exponential growth potential.”
– Ivan Ransom Rodriguez and Kevin Morales Münstermann, Founders of Resilience 2020
