The objective of a Net Zero Home is to achieve a balance between the amount of energy a home consumes and the amount of renewable energy it generates, resulting in a net energy consumption of zero. The primary goals of Net Zero Homes include, energy efficiency, carbon emissions reduction, financial savings. Specific methodologies and measures which includes, Energy Consumption and Generation Monitoring, Energy Performance Metrics, Energy Balance, Energy Use Intensity (EUI), Carbon Footprint Analysis, have been employed to quantitatively and qualitatively evaluate the success and effectiveness of Net Zero Home project. The project supports the environment in several ways by incorporating sustainable building practices, energy-efficient technologies, and renewable energy sources.
