Ocean Hack Hackathon banner

The POP Movement is very excited to announce its first-ever Ocean-Hack, a week-long event where youth across the world will come together to design innovative and technology-based solutions focused on the conservation of the ocean and other water bodies. Through the Ocean-Hack, the POP Movement aims to mentor innovative technology-based ideas for ocean action by establishing a platform for emerging change-makers to implement their ideas.

Participants can be individuals/teams/existing organizations with no more than 5 participants representing one team. The participants should have an already existing idea focused on the theme.

Structure of the Hackathon

The hackathon will be a week-long event to promote technology-based solutions focused on solving issues related to the ocean and other water bodies. Participants will have three days to work on an innovative solution to address the current challenges of marine ecosystems and wildlife, which will be presented to a panel of judges on the fourth day. The winning project will be chosen based on a series of criteria that include the use of technology, the feasibility, as well as the impact and scale of the project.
