Protect Our Planet, Youth Taking Actions in Shenzhen China

Shenzhen Ecological Natural School (SENS) is affiliated to Shenzhen Environmental Monitoring Center of Shenzhen Ecological Environment Bureau and the only school in China focusing on ecological monitoring. It is located in Dapeng District and surrounded by mountains and ocean with abundant ecological and environmental resources. The School’s special course of Marine Conservation is dedicated to marine ecological science and education for youth and children. The course is about taking actions to protect the ocean and raising people’s awareness of marine pollution. The course mainly includes observing plankton in seawater by microscope, understanding complicated ecological relationship of marine biological chain, observing and understanding shoal habitats and experiencing beauty of ocean. The School regularly holds events of marine protection such as beach cleaning with the purpose of raising the public’s awareness of dangers caused by ocean garbage to marine life and its impacts on marine ecological environment. The School is dedicated to educating young people for protecting the ocean and marine resources. Just like our mother protecting and fostering us, we shall protect the ocean so that our future generations may continue to live on such a beautiful blue planet forever. The School has provided training to more than 1000 children in understanding relationship among people, plants, ocean animals and natural ecosystems.
Summer Camp – Explore Natural Environment
Children were having picnic by the seashore refusing to use disposal dishes, bowls and chopsticks. Over 200 participants took part in the summer camps.
World Environment Day – Theme Activities
We were promoting the 3R (Reduce, Reuse and Recycle) green lifestyle to the public and called on reducing pollution of plastic waste to the ocean and saving marine life. There were about 500 participants in our events.
