Princeton University Speaker Session with 65 Students at the Deer Park Camp and Retreat Center
29 August 2024
The POP Movement hosted a special session on the intersections of climate and health for around 80 incoming freshmen at Princeton University. These students, all beginning their studies in medicine, health, and environmental science, participated in the session at the Retreat Center in Deer Park, Pennsylvania. Surrounded by the tranquility of nature, Deer Park provided the perfect backdrop for discussions on climate change and health. The 45-minute session featured interactive energizers, games, pop quizzes, and an educational presentation. At the end, Drs. Pachauri awarded token prizes to the “POP Star” quiz competition winners, which included copies of the POP Academy’s Climate Action and Climate and Health books. Special thanks were extended to Madhalasa Iyer, Princeton University student, and young leader, for her invaluable invitation, the organization of this important session, and the privilege shared with the POP Movement.
