On the occasion of World Recycling Day on May 17, 2022, POP Movement Venezuela organized an Eco Art contest with schools and educational institutions in Carabobo State, Venezuela as part of the “School Education for Sustainable Development” program. Inviting artwork from recycled materials, this contest aimed to create awareness among children and adolescents on the importance of reuse and recycling and promote their leadership as responsible consumers. The week of May 10, 2022, to May 17, 2022, was declared as “Recycling Week” by the schools, and the teachers promoted the following among students:

  1. The reading of SDG 12 (Responsible Production and Consumption) and its goals within the 2030 Agenda.
  2. Global and local actions on how to achieve the efficient use of natural resources
