On 24 July 2026, the POP Movement held a strategic meeting in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, to strengthen academic partnerships and advance collaborative initiatives focused on sustainability, public health, and youth leadership.

The meeting was hosted at Abu Dhabi University (ADU) with Dr. Asiya Nazir, PhD, FHEA, and was attended by the POP Movement delegation comprising Dr. Saroj Pachauri, Director of the POP Movement, Dr. Norma Patricia Muñoz Sevilla, Honorary Distinguished Mentor, and Dr. Ash Pachauri, Co-Founder and Director of the POP Movement.

Discussions centered on preparations for the upcoming ADU–POP and Partners Climate, Cancer, and Youth Futures Symposium, scheduled to take place on 10 and 16 October 2026. The symposium will provide a collaborative platform for academic institutions, researchers, youth leaders, government representatives, healthcare professionals, and partner organizations to exchange knowledge and explore innovative approaches to addressing the interconnected challenges of climate change, public health, and sustainable development.

The meeting reaffirmed the shared commitment of Abu Dhabi University and the POP Movement to fostering interdisciplinary research, strengthening international partnerships, and empowering young people to contribute to solutions that promote healthier communities and a more sustainable future.
