Launch of the planting and maintenance of 1500 trees in the villages of Loum, Ngoasse, Oyop in the district of Meyomessala, South Cameroon region

On May 6, 2022, POP Youth Mentor Jean Félix EBO’O and the local organization Amis de la Planète du Cameroun (APC) launched the planting activity from May 6 to 28, 2022 in the Loum Yebene, Ngoasse, Nkomo Yassaman et Oyop villages in the district of Meyomessala. Mentor Jeunesse POP accompanied by several young people from the locality launched the activity at the public school of Oyop in the presence of the pupils and officials of the said school.
Despite many difficulties due to transportation and heavy rains, the young volunteers of the local organization Amis de la Planète du Cameroun followed the monitoring and maintenance phase in the targeted villages. It was a question of cleaning and watering the tree seedlings planted.
This first phase of planting and subsequent maintenance of the 1,500 trees in the region of South Cameroon and more particularly in the villages of the district of Meyomessala was a success. The Young POP MOVEMENT Jean Félix EBO’O was able to maintain this action despite the difficulties encountered on the ground. The maintenance phase follows its course thanks to the collaboration of the rural populations. The launch of the second phase of planting 1500 trees will take place on Saturday August 06, 2022 in other villages of the said locality.
