Honoring Leadership in Civilization Rights and Sustainable Development

10 June 2026

On 10 June 2026, the Sixth World Day of Civilization Rights, organized by the Civilization Rights Institute (CRI), brought together global leaders and advocates to promote human dignity, peace, intercultural understanding, and sustainable development.

A keynote address by former Ecuadorian President Dra. Rosalía Arteaga highlighted the importance of education, human values, and collective action in addressing global challenges.

The event also honored Prof. Saroj Pachauri as a Civilizology Pioneer for her lifelong contributions to human development, education, and public health, while the late Prof. Rajendra K. Pachauri was posthumously recognized as a Civilization Rights Pioneer for his global leadership in climate action and sustainable development.

These recognitions celebrate the Pachauris’ lasting legacy and reinforce the shared commitment of CRI, the POP Movement, and their partners to advancing a more peaceful, equitable, and sustainable future.
