The Regional chapter of the Second World Sustainable Development Forum held in Querétaro on March 8, 2020 sought to arrive at specific policies and advocacy of a range of projects, indicating possible points of action for different stakeholders. Organized in the Autonomous University of Querétaro, the forum focused on identifying actions to limit warming to below 1.5°C through its many plenary sessions chaired by experts and government representatives. The event also had the component of “Youthquake” led by Dr. Ash Pachauri, POP Senior Mentor who urged the enthusiastic young participants to come forward for Climate Action Now.

The forum saw the participation of notable individuals like Mtro. Marco Antonio del Prete Tercero, Minister for Sustainable Development, Querétaro State and Dr. Erik Solheim, Former Executive Director, UNEP.
