The POP Movement conducted a 4-hour workshop with 100-plus students of Escola Berganti or the Berganti School in Catalunya, Spain on November 25, 2019. Participants were of ages 12-16 years.

The workshop engaged the students in participatory discussion and critical thinking about local environmental problems in the Catalunya region and their potential solutions. The students explored a number of environmental challenges, including marine plastic pollution, deforestation, and the environmental impacts of dietary habits, including their carbon and water footprint. One group discussed the loss of habitat and biodiversity due to unsustainable palm oil plantation. Through many creative presentations, the students demonstrated solutions to address the challenges identified.
