On October 4, 2025, the Young Climate Leaders organized an inspiring awareness and environmental education activity centered on the theme “The Environment and Healthy Eating.” The event brought together children from various regions of Cameroon to learn, share, and take action for a sustainable future.

The program featured insightful presentations by key facilitators, including Jean Félix Ebo’o, Initiative Mentor of the POP Movement & Coordinator of the initiative; Ms. Nkoulou Akoumba Antoinette, who emphasized environmental protection and youth engagement; and Dr. Samuel Brice Ndengue, who encouraged young people to embrace healthy, organic, and vegan diets.

Ms. Sunny Satva, the event’s sponsor, shared a heartfelt message motivating youth to take concrete climate actions—celebrated with the symbolic cutting of a vegan cake in her honor.

The young participants pledged to continue planting diverse trees, particularly fruit trees, in schools across Cameroon, with hundreds set to be planted between October 2025 and February 2026, and to establish botanical and vegetable gardens.

The Young Climate Leaders expressed gratitude to Dr. Ash Pachauri and the POP Movement Team  for their continued support in nurturing young changemakers.
