As part of SYND’s Youth in Energy Transition Agenda (YETA) project, a meeting was organized for the parents and guardians of students engaged over the past four months. The session aimed to gain their consent and support for the project’s implementation and to gather their insights on enhancing its impact.

The initiative works with about 60 Visual Arts students from Accra High School in collaboration with NADMO Korle Klottey, a local government agency. Championing this pilot under the Youth in Natural Resources and Environmental Governance (Youth-NREG) Platform, the project seeks to empower young people as energy transition champions—harnessing their creativity to promote sustainable energy awareness in their communities.

It was inspiring to witness the students creatively express and communicate the concept of energy transition to their parents, fostering a shared understanding of the vital role youth play in shaping a sustainable future.
