Symon Satiele

Initiative Mentor and Country Representative for Malawi

Symon Satiele is a climate justice advocate, youth leader, and communications professional from Malawi. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communication and Cultural Studies (Public Relations) from the University of Malawi and is an alumnus of the Young African Leaders Initiative (YALI). He currently serves as the African Climate Alliance Field Officer in Malawi and is the Founder and CEO of Mthunzi Trust, a youth-led organization advancing climate action, environmental conservation, education, and community development.
He is also a POP Movement Initiative Mentor and a Faith Leader working with the Southern African Faith Communities’ Environmental Institute (SAFCEI), where he engages with young people, communities, and local stakeholders to promote climate resilience and sustainable development. He actively engages rural schools and communities in climate education and awareness initiatives. His work contributes to Sustainable Development Goals 4 (Quality Education), 7 (Affordable and Clean Energy), 13 (Climate Action), and 15 (Life on Land). He is passionate about empowering youth to take action on climate change and build sustainable communities.
