On May 24th, a representative from the POP Movement attended the virtual launch of the Yamaye Taino New Year & Rainy Season Celebration, Boina Aganeuku. This virtual event was part of the fifth anniversary celebration commemorating 1,424 years of Taino presence in Jamaica. Hosted by the charismatic Kasike-íani Mrs. Ronalda, the event exuded warmth and energy, making all attendees feel warmly welcome.

The Boina Aganeuku Abakabo Virtual Launch was a powerful testament to the enduring spirit and resilience of indigenous communities. It highlighted the importance of cultural preservation, community engagement, and environmental stewardship. By fostering educational initiatives and research collaborations, the event laid a foundation for continued efforts to honor and sustain indigenous heritage and traditions.
