On March 10, 2023, Dr Chiemeze Atama as part of the “Implementation of E-WIN Climate Education for Sustainability Project” organized an activity at the University of Nigeria Secondary School with the support of Ploggers Nigeria, University of Nigeria, and Secondary School Nsukka. The objective of the activity is to create awareness and educate secondary school students about climate change and environmental sustainability. Dr. Chiemeze Atama, Aniputa Chidera, and Obasi Kalu joined as panelists and covered the areas of Awareness, Capacity Building, Advocacy, Networking, Partnership Development, Project Inception Meeting, and Climate Education. During the activity, there is an increase in awareness and understanding of climate change and environmental sustainability. A number of 352 participants including 168 males and 184 females were directly impacted. Commitment to take climate action and increase awareness and engagement by the school students, authorities, and teachers was taken into consideration.
